William Bajalia
Writer, Director, Editor, Executive Producer
William Frederick Bajalia was born in Valdosta, Georgia in March of 1991. From a very early age he developed a deep and true love for cinema, filmmaking, and the creation of true stories. Over the past seven years he has sculpted and refined his filmmaking career in such a genuine way that truly speaks to his ambition, dedication, and love for his passion and craft. He earned his BFA in Mass Media Filmmaking in 2015 from Valdosta State University, where he was awarded the, “Outstanding Film Student Award”, as well as had his work featured in multiple festivals and was awarded various awards for his work. He formed valuable relationships along the way and was able to take away many lessons both pertaining to his passion for film, as well as the hard lessons of today’s film industry.
Arriving in Orlando Florida in the fall of 2016, William entered into the MFA in Film Production at, Full Sail University, where he specialized in Directing. Since arriving at Full Sail University, Bajalia has stayed busy with working on as many films as possible, taking on positions all the way from Production Assistant to Director. While at Full Sail University, he was awarded the opportunity to write and direct his thesis film, Shoelaces. Bajalia showed that he was confidently and successfully able to lead a cast and crew of over 50 talented filmmaker and individuals over a three-day production, and complete the film under budget with a total budget of only $2,400.
In the future, William plans to move to Los Angeles, California mid-2017 to continue to pursue his passion and dream of becoming a prominent film director. His ultimate goal as a filmmaker is to be able to earn his living creating amazing films and catalyze emotional responses in each of his audience members, if only one time, in one film, during his career.
